YapBetter

A teleprompter for YouTube, TikTok and Reels

Short videos live or die on the first line and the delivery. YapBetter marks how to say each line, so your script sounds like you talking to one person.

Free · no signup · your video stays on your device.

Why do creators sound flat on a teleprompter?

Because reading pulls your voice into one level. Every word gets the same weight, the pauses vanish, and the end of each line drifts up like a question. Viewers feel it in the first seconds. YapBetter puts the delivery back on the page: the word to punch, the line to land low, the beat to wait.

TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Short-form is all hook. YapBetter's score gives the first line its own category (Hook), and the coach calls out slow starts like "So, um, today I want to…".

  • Keep lines short. The prompter shows 4 to 7 words at a time near the lens.
  • Check the length before you shoot with the script timer: it tells you if the script fits 15, 30, 60 or 90 seconds.
  • Use the TikTok and Reels script template and the hook lines if you are stuck on structure.

YouTube

Longer videos need pace changes, or the middle sags. The cues mark where to slow down for the key point and where to speed through the setup. The YouTube script template shows how to break a script into parts the prompter can carry.

UGC and brand videos

Brand scripts often arrive written like ads. The text suggestions point out lines that sound like copy, and you accept the ones you want. The UGC script structure post covers the rest.

How a session goes

  1. Paste the script, or try a sample creator script.
  2. Look over the cues. Click any word to change its cue.
  3. Rehearse one line plain, then with cues, and compare them.
  4. Record the full take on your laptop, or on your phone propped in front of the laptop.
  5. Get the score, fix the top issue, and redo just those lines.
